Military, Veterans and Diverse Job Seekers seeks a Security Guard to enforce entry systems, patrol facilities, monitor alarms, and provide security for court operations in San Diego. Duties include screening, responding to incidents, directing traffic, and escorting authorized persons as required by post orders.

Candidates must be 21+, with 3+ years civilian law enforcement or equivalent military service, successful completion of an accredited training academy, pass background and drug tests,

Qualifications

• Fluently read, speak, comprehend, and compose coherent written reports in English.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have completed a certified law enforcement training academy or program with police powers.
• Must pass pre-placement screening including background check and drug test.
• Must possess a valid, unrestricted state driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Enforce entry and identification system.
• Patrol facilities and grounds per post orders.
• Provide armed escort services when required.
• Monitor alarms, radios, and RFID systems; respond to incidents.
• Conduct regular security patrols and screenings of vehicles and pedestrians.
• Maintain logs and ensure security of government property.
