Job summary

Cypress College is seeking a Court Reporting Instructor for a full‑time, tenure‑track role. The position involves teaching Court Reporting courses to diverse students, developing curriculum, and supporting equity in instruction.

The base pay ranges between $85,541 and $128,379 annually under the faculty contract. This tenure‑track faculty role requires a bachelor’s degree (or higher) with relevant experience, or an associate degree with six years of experience, or an applicable California

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) or credentialing related to teaching in community college.
  • Two years of professional experience related to teaching assignment.
  • Or an Associate degree with six years of professional experience.
  • Or valid California teaching credential in the subject area.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Responsibilities

  • Teach Court Reporting classes for credit and non‑credit courses.
  • Develop and update curriculum aligned with SLOs.
  • Participate in department and college committees to improve the program.
  • Plan and teach programs to support student success.
  • Maintain office hours and handle administrative duties.
  • Stay current with instructional technologies.
  • Provide culturally responsive teaching to diverse students.
  • Adhere to district policies and safety requirements.
