Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and two years of court reporting experience.
• Must be certified as Registered Professional Reporter (RPR) and Arizona court certification.
• Understanding of legal terminology and transcript preparation.

Responsibilities

• Report verbatim record of all courtroom proceedings using stenographic or voice writing systems.
• Read aloud testimony as requested to judges, counsel, witnesses, jurors.
• Prepare and produce verbatim transcripts or excerpts from stenographic notes or voice written notes as requested by litigants, attorneys, judges, and other court personnel in required time periods.
• Edit, proofread, bind (if appropriate), and certify transcripts as true and accurate.
• Distribute transcripts to appropriate parties and prepare billing for transcripts.
