Job summary

Tarrant County is seeking a detail-oriented Court Records Clerk to maintain and verify both electronic and paper court files. You will prepare and process court orders, assist judges and attorneys, and ensure timely completion of cases through precise data entry and document handling.

The role focuses on maintaining integrity of records, training new staff, and supporting court operations with strong organizational and communication skills in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

  • Must possess good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to develop unique correspondence and documents and follow complex instructions.
  • Proficiency with data entry, keyboarding, and navigating computer applications.
  • Detailed knowledge of departmental procedures and ability to work under stress.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process civil, criminal, and administrative court proceedings with accuracy.
  • Review and enter case information into the case management system; confirm documents and filings.
  • Assist judges, attorneys, and the public; respond to inquiries via phone or in person.
