The Court Program Specialist II position assists the Problem-Solving Court Program by performing a variety of administrative duties. The position offers an excellent opportunity to serve adult clients under the Adult Drug Court, Mental Health Court, and Veterans Treatment Court Programs while gaining valuable experience through direct involvement in the court process. Duties include creating, entering, monitoring, and maintaining case information. The selected candidate will have direct involvement in case progression, docket preparation, status updates and program referrals. Collaboration with participants, team members and judges in court staffings and judicial hearings is required. Additionally, this position is responsible for data collection and reporting for the Problem-Solving Court Programs, including compiling and tracking participant outcomes, attendance, and compliance data; maintaining accurate records in program databases and case management systems; assisting in preparation of statistical reports, and performance metrics for program evaluation; and ensuring data integrity and confidentiality across all PSC programs within the Circuit in accordance with applicable policies and regulations. This position will require periodic local travel within Orange and Osceola County. Reliable transportation is required.
The ideal candidate will have a thorough working knowledge of the criminal justice system and general knowledge of mental health and substance abuse. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, as well as Adobe applications, is required. Experience with data entry, database management, and reporting tools is preferred. Three years of professional administrative or analytical experience and a bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, criminal justice, psychology, sociology, or a closely related field are preferred. Additional relevant education may substitute for the recommended experience on a year-for-year basis, and additional relevant experience may substitute for the recommended education on a year-for-year basis.
$23.10/hr. State funded OPS employees may be eligible for insurance coverage. No holiday pay, sick or vacation time accrued.
