Job summary

Prisma International, Inc. is recruiting experienced court interpreters to join our independent contractor team. The role involves providing interpretation services in NHJB courts across onsite, video remote (VRI), and telephone (OPI) formats.

Proficiency in English and target language, plus NCSC-aligned training, are required. Minimum one year of court interpreting experience, ability to travel to NH court locations, and compliance with background checks are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum: Training aligned with NCSC model curriculum in Interpretation Techniques, Legal Terminology, and Interpreter Ethics.
• Language proficiency through approved assessment (English and target language).
• Annual criminal history background checks are required.
• Strong understanding of court procedures; 1+ year interpreting experience in a court setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person, video remote, or telephone interpretation for NHJB courts as requested.
• Maintain professional conduct and accurate interpretation of concepts between LEP speakers and speakers.
• Adhere to interpreter ethics and standards and manage conversation flow as directed by speakers.
