Job summary

State of Maine Judicial Branch seeks a Division Supervisor II to oversee operations in one of three divisions within the Superior Court/District Court Clerk's Office. You will coordinate all activities, merge staff from two divisions, supervise staff, and serve as Clerk of Court when needed.

The role requires multi-year supervisory experience, strong customer service, and knowledge of court procedures. Location: Cumberland County Courthouse, Portland.

Qualifications

• Three years responsible experience in case processing.
• Two years supervisory/managerial experience.
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience considered.
• Attaining supervisory training may be a condition of offer.

Responsibilities

• Plan, analyze, and organize division work.
• Hire, discipline, supervise, and train staff.
• Coordinate docketing, case processing, and filing.
• Mitigate health and safety needs of staff.
• Communicate with judges, attorneys, and public.
