The Missouri Judiciary is seeking an Apprentice Court Clerk for entry-level duties in a court using an electronic filing system. You will learn general office knowledge, court rules, and procedures while providing exceptional customer service to the public.

Initial work is under close supervision with gradual responsibility for case processing, finances, and document preparation in a fast-paced environment within the Missouri Circuit Courts.

Qualifications

• Ability to comprehend court procedures and policies, legal documents, laws and legal factors pertaining to the court.
• Ability to gain working knowledge of organization operations, functions and scope of authority of the court.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively while handling a high-volume workload in an environment with changing priorities and high stress.
• Ability to exercise good judgment and make independent decisions in accordance with general policy and objectives.

Responsabilités

• Performs case processing in receiving and initiating case files; prepares warrants, summonses, garnishments and executions, bond settings and docket control.
• Reviews legal documents for necessary information required for filing; determines processing required and actions per court rules.
• Performs accounting duties in receiving and disbursing monies, reconciles financial accounts, and prepares financial reports.
• Prepares documents related to court operations including orders, calendars, notices of hearings, court appearances, or reports; queues electronically filed proceedings.
