Job summary

The Center for Justice Innovation is seeking a Resource Coordinator for the Manhattan Justice program in New York, responsible for engaging legal parties, coordinating referrals, and orienting participants to services. Reporting to the Court Operations Supervisor, you will provide updates to the court and collaborate with multiple agencies.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, strong writing and communication skills, and the ability to work across diverse stakeholders

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 3-4 years equivalent experience in criminal court setting and/or human services.
• Knowledge of the criminal justice system and its community impacts.
• Strong writing and attention to detail are required.

Responsibilities

• Cover Criminal and Supreme Court courtrooms and collaborate with defense attorneys, prosecutors, and judges to identify participants for Manhattan Justice services.
• Communicate with prosecutors, defense attorneys, judges and other court staff about Manhattan Justice’s services.
• Coordinate new referrals and schedule participants for intake and assessments.
• Ensure participants are connected with intake specialists, case managers, and/or social workers.
• Provide written and verbal case updates and compliance reports to defense, prosecution, and the court.
• Enter and maintain accurate data in the electronic case management database.
• Manage a caseload of participants mandated to community service as needed.
