Job summary

Center for Justice Innovation seeks a Court Liaison for Staten Island to support the Supervised Release Program. You will guide pretrial participants, provide orientation, and coordinate with Clinical, Case Management, and Compliance teams to ensure smooth court reporting.

The role emphasizes strong writing, clear communication, and collaboration with prosecutors, defense attorneys, and judges. Evening/weekend coverage and community engagement are part of the position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and at least one year in a related area, preferably criminal justice.
• Excellent writing skills and attention to detail are required.
• Must be a skilled communicator in multi-disciplinary settings.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with prosecutors, defense attorneys, and court staff about participants’ compliance and program information.
• Review cases at arraignments and gather information from participants released.
• Provide participants with immediate orientation pre- or post-arraignment.
• Assist participants in court with connection to the Clinical Department when appropriate.
• Ensure intake with Clinical staff for participants released to pretrial supervision.
• Provide written and verbal case updates to the court and other staff as needed.
