Job Duties

1. Operates company vehicles and provides courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages.
2. Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service.
3. Provides coverage for all assigned routes within the station's service area.
4. Performs related customer service functions.
5. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education

High school diploma/GED.

Minimum Experience

Six (6) months courier experience preferred. Must be able to demonstrate area knowledge.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance. Good human relations and verbal communication skills. Thorough knowledge of the station's service area preferred. Demonstrated skills in adaptability, dependability, and courier methods.

Job Conditions

Neat appearance required due to customer contact. Must meet and maintain qualifications outlined in the federal motor carrier safety regulations. Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations. Specific requirements for vehicle operation are detailed in policy 4-48. Must obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license according to state requirements and have a good driving record as outlined in policy. This is a safety-sensitive position requiring constant alertness and safe work practices.

Preferred Qualifications

Applicants must be 21 years or older, with a valid state-issued driver’s license for at least 3 years with no gaps, suspensions, or interruptions.

Pay Transparency

This range is an estimate of the current starting salary across all potential locations. Actual pay depends on experience, market, location, and other factors. Employees may be eligible for additional pay, bonuses, or premiums. Benefits include health, vision, dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.

Pay: $25.64 - $39.82

Additional Details: PT Mon-Sat, hours to be determined (AM).
