Job Duties

1. Operate company vehicles to provide courteous and efficient delivery and pickup of packages.
2. Check shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service.
3. Provide coverage for all assigned routes within the station's service area.
4. Perform related customer service functions.
5. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education

High school diploma/GED.

Minimum Experience

Six (6) months courier experience preferred. Must demonstrate knowledge of the area.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages over 50 lbs with equipment and/or assistance. Good human relations and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of the station's service area preferred. Demonstrated adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier methods.

Job Conditions

Neat appearance required due to customer contact. Must meet qualifications outlined in federal motor carrier safety regulations. Requires medical exam per FMCSA or FAA regulations. Specific requirements for vehicle operation are detailed in policy 4-48. Must obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license and have a good driving record. This is a safety-sensitive position requiring alertness and safe work practices.
