St. Luke's University Health Network in Bethlehem, PA seeks a Courier Service Supervisor to oversee daily courier and shuttle operations and ensure timely deliveries to all departments and customers.
The role requires leadership, 5-7 years in courier logistics, an associate degree in business administration, knowledge of DOT guidelines, and proficiency with courier software and MS Office. This position reports to the Supply Chain Logistics leadership and supports hospital operations.
7 AM - 4:30 PM
In coordination with the Manager, manages the daily operation of the Courier Service for the Network. Oversees all activities relating to the Courier and Shuttle Service in accordance with established priorities and schedules. Schedules and monitors employees performing Courier functions. Prepares and maintains the delivery schedule and assures deliveries are timely to all customers. Serves as administrator of the Courier Software and is responsible for the Courier vehicles. Complies with all hospital and departmental policies and procedures at all times. Recommends procedural changes in process improvement, customer service, and productivity.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:
Standing for up to four (4) hours per day, one (1) hour at a time. Sitting for up to four (4) hours per day, four (4) hours at a time. Continuous twisting and turning hands. Use of upper extremities for frequent lifting, carrying, and/or pushing up to 50 lbs. Frequently uses fingers for data entry, etc. Frequently stoops, bends, or reaches above shoulder level. Hearing as it relates to normal conversation. Seeing as it relates to general vision, near vision, peripheral vision, and visual monotony.
EDUCATION:
Associates Degree in Business administration and/or supervisory experience with 5-7 years’ experience in Courier Logistics/Fleet Management.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
Experience in leadership, conflict management, and team building. Knowledge of regulatory guidelines – DOT. Thorough knowledge of Courier Software. Computer literate with Materials Management System – Package Tracking Program and experience with Microsoft Applications: Word, Excel, Access. Ability to prepare reports and maintain records.
