Job summary

FedEx in Miami, FL is seeking a dedicated driver/operator for company vehicles to perform courteous delivery and package pickup. You will verify shipments for FedEx service standards and provide related customer service while maintaining a neat appearance and safety awareness.

The part-time role runs Monday through Saturday, 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Miami location, with day off to be determined. A High School diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license are required, along with the ability to

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must have a valid driver's license for the vehicle assigned.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and maneuver packages with help as needed.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Must meet FMCSA safety regulation requirements and pass medical exam if applicable.
• Ability to read and communicate in English for traffic signs and directions.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate FedEx vehicles to deliver and pickup packages.
• Check shipments for conformance to FedEx service standards.
• Provide courteous customer service and maintain professional appearance.
• Perform other duties as assigned and work five days a week.

Driver / operator of company vehicles. Provides courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages. Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service and provides related customer service functions. Performs other duties as assigned.

Monday - Saturday Day off TBD, 15:00 - 21:00

The desired location for this position would be Miami, FL. Employees will be required to work at the FedEx location five days a week.

Minimum Education

High school diploma/GED. Must be licensed for type of vehicle assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Good human relations and verbal communication skills. Neat appearance since customer contact is required. Must meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier safety regulations. Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations. Non-covered safety-sensitive position. Medical exam required. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.
