Job summary

FedEx is seeking a driver/operator in Lawton, Oklahoma to deliver and pick up packages, ensuring shipments meet FedEx service standards while delivering courteous customer service. You will operate company vehicles and perform other duties as assigned, maintaining a neat appearance due to frequent customer contact.

Shifts are Tue–Fri 8:00 am–12:00 pm with a split shift 3:30 pm–7:30 pm, and Sat 8:45 am–4:30 pm; current starting pay is $21.05 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be licensed for the vehicle type assigned.
• Must meet FMCSA/FMCSA safety regulations and be at least 21 years old.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate FedEx vehicles to deliver and pick up packages.
• Check shipments for conformance to FedEx service standards and provide customer service.
• Perform additional duties as assigned and maintain professional appearance for customer contact.

Minimum Education

High school diploma/GED. Must be licensed for type of vehicle assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Good human relations and verbal communication skills. Neat appearance since customer contact is required. Must meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier safety regulations. Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations. Non-covered safety-sensitive position. Medical exam required. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.

Preferred Qualifications

Minimum of 21 years of age, consistently lift 50 pounds, High School / GED Diploma, Valid Driver’s License consistently for the past two years. Must successfully complete a Federal Drug screen and background check.
