Job summary

FedEx is seeking a Driver/Operator for company vehicles to ensure efficient delivery and pickup of packages while providing courteous customer service. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and a valid vehicle license.

Expect to work Monday through Friday from 8:00 to 17:00 in the Miami, FL area with safety requirements to meet FMCSA standards. Ideal candidates will be able to lift up to 50 lbs, maintain a neat appearance, and communicate effectively in English.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed for type of vehicle assigned.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and handle packages above 50 lbs with assistance/equipment.
• Must meet FMCSA regulations; medical exam required; non-covered safety-sensitive position.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and pick up packages using FedEx vehicles.
• Check shipments for conformance to FedEx service standards.
• Provide courteous customer service and communications.
• Work five days per week; FT Monday–Friday 8:00–17:00.

Job description

Driver / operator of company vehicles. Provides courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages. Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service and provides related customer service functions. Performs other duties as assigned.

FT Monday - Friday 8:00 - 17:00

The desired location for this position would be Miami, FL. Employees will be required to work at the FedEx location five days a week.

Minimum Education

High school diploma/GED. Must be licensed for type of vehicle assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Good human relations and verbal communication skills. Neat appearance since customer contact is required. Must meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier safety regulations. Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations. Non-covered safety-sensitive position. Medical exam required.Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.
