Job summary

Northwest Medical Center in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Mother/Baby Couplet RN for a full-time, day shift. You will care for mother-infant couplets across the Women’s Center, coordinating and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care per established protocols and orders.

The role requires 1–2 years of clinical nursing experience, active RN licensure, and BCLS; ACLS/PALS preferred. Expect collaboration with physicians, nurses, and support staff, with emphasis on safety and education for families.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role in an acute care setting.
• RN licensure and BCLS required; ACLS/PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver patient-centered care in accordance with nursing process.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments and document findings, reporting changes.
• Administer prescribed medications, monitor for side effects, document administration.
• Assist physicians during procedures within scope of competency.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and evaluate care plans.
• Provide education to patients and families on care, discharge plans and follow-up.
• Maintain infection control and safety standards.
• Document care thoroughly in the medical record.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives.
