Job summary

Milton Hershey School seeks full-time Flex Houseparents—a married couple—to live in on-campus homes and supervise around 8–13 students daily, guiding their academic, emotional, and social development.

This two-person role requires a couple married at least two years, aged 27+, with a valid US driver’s license, able to lift 50 lbs, and committed to a smoke-free campus. Housing, meals, and comprehensive benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person couple role, married at least two years.
• Spouses aged 27+.
• No more than three dependent children in the home.
• Smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to drive student vans.
• Ability to lead daily devotions and attend Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; staff as role models.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship for students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and ensure student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and plan developmental/recreational activities.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
