Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA seeks married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents living in on-campus student homes. You will supervise, mentor and support 8-13 students, managing daily routines and activities while fostering academic, emotional, and social development.

Two-spouse teams must be legally married for at least two years, both aged 27+, with a high school diploma or GED. The role requires driving, devotion leadership, and a commitment to a smoke- and weapon-free

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples married at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Ability to lead daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited).
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; role models for students.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship
• Managing household routines and student schedules
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental/recreational activities
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting
