Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, is hiring married couples as Full-time Flex Houseparents to live in on-campus student homes and guide a group of 8–13 students with mentorship, supervision, and care. The role supports academic, emotional, and social development in a family-like setting.

The position starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, and couples may later transition to a Placed Houseparent role in the same student home; compensation includes salary plus

Qualifications

• Must have experience working or volunteering with youth.
• This is a two-person role for couples married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Valid U.S. driver\'s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• High school diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning/developing activities.
• Leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
