Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA is hiring married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents, living in on-campus student homes and caring for a group of 8-13 students.

The role features a nine-days-on / three-days-off schedule, potential transition to a Placed Houseparent, and a compensation package that includes $46,917 per person annually, plus free housing, meals on duty, and benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-spouse married couple for at least two years.
• Both spouses at least 27 years old.
• No more than three dependent children in home.
• Smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to certify to drive student vans.
• Lift up to 50 lbs and stay physically active.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and monitor student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and engage in development and recreation.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
