Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA seeks married couples to join as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples live in on-campus student homes, guide a group of 8–13 students, and contribute to academic, emotional, and social growth within a structured, family-like environment.

The role begins with nine days on duty followed by three off, with potential progression to a placed houseparent living with the same students. Salary includes housing and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Two-spouse, legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses aged 27 or older.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and able to become certified to drive student vans.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the home.
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and monitor student health.
• Drive students to activities and engage in developmental and recreational activities.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
