Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, is hiring full-time Flex Houseparents—a two-person married couple who live in on-campus student homes to supervise 8–13 students.

You will manage daily routines, oversee budgets, transport students, lead devotions, and coordinate family-like care; initial schedule is nine days on, three off, with later placement in a stable home. Benefits include health insurance, retirement options, relocation assistance, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person marriage for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Pet limitations: only fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; staff serve as role models for students.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship for students.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning development and recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
