Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, is hiring Full-time Flex Houseparents to live on campus and supervise a group of 8-13 students in a family-like home. The role combines mentoring, daily routines, transportation, and devotional activities to support student development.

Applicants must be a married couple for at least two years, both 27+, with a high school diploma or GED. Housing, meals, and benefits are included; relocation and training are available.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person couple role, married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services.
• High school diploma or GED required
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; staff serve as role models.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and oversee student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and engage in development and recreation.
• Lead daily devotions and attend Sunday Chapel with students.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
