Job summary

Milton Hershey School (MHS) in Hershey, PA, invites applications for Full-time Flex Houseparents. This two-person role houses and mentors 8–13 students in on-campus homes, providing structure, care, and guidance to promote academic, emotional, and social growth.

Couples must be married at least two years, both 27+, and hold a high school diploma or GED. Positions include housing, meals, benefits, and a path to placed houseparent leadership on a nine-on/three-off schedule.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Couples must be legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship
• Managing household routines and student schedules
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness
• Driving students to activities, as well as planning and actively engaging in developmental and recreational activities with students
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting
