Job summary

Milton Hershey School is seeking Full-time Flex Houseparents to reside in on-campus student homes and provide care and guidance for 8-13 students. The role fosters academic, emotional, and social development in a structured, family-like setting.

Couples must be legally married for at least two years, both spouses at least 27, and capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. A U.S. driver’s license is required, with driving certification possible on campus.

Qualifications

• Two-person role requires legally married couple for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the home.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student vans.
• Must be able to participate in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship
• Managing household routines and student schedules
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental/recreational activities
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting
• Nine consecutive days on duty, followed by three days off; later transition to Placed Houseparent
