Job summary

Milton Hershey School (MHS) is hiring married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents on its Hershey, PA campus. Couples reside in on-campus student homes, providing care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of ~8–13 students to foster academic, emotional, and social development.

Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring, managing routines, administering medications, driving to activities, leading devotions, and budgeting.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-spouse role: couples married at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student vans.
• Smokefree and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and ensure student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and participate in developmental/recreational activities.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
