Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA is hiring married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on‑campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8‑13 students, helping them grow academically, emotionally, and socially in a structured, family‑like environment.

Responsibilities include daily supervision, managing routines, assisting with medications, transporting students, leading devotions, and overseeing budgeting

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Couples must be legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the home.
• Smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Pet restrictions: fish and one approved dog allowed.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student vans.
• Willingness to lead daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel (no proselytizing).
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism as role models.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.

• Driving students to activities and planning developmental and recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
