U-Haul International, Inc. in Grand Prairie, TX seeks a Storage Center Manager Trainee Team.

The role splits duties between a Storage Center General Manager and Assistant Manager, focusing on profitability, staff development, and inventory control at a moving and storage center with an on-site apartment. You will participate in on-site interviews, receive paid bonuses including a $100 hiring bonus and a $300 cash bonus upon completing the U-Haul Equipment Inspection and Verification program, and

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of management experience in retail or another service industry with responsibility for financial results and customer satisfaction.
• Organizational expertise.
• Management proficiency in high-volume retail with profit and loss (P&L) accountability.
• Valid driver’s license and the ability to maintain a good driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform profit/loss analyses.
• Hire and mentor new team members.
• Track and itemize inventory.
• Manage the fleet to deliver clean and well-maintained equipment.
• Manage the personnel budget.
• Ensure that customers receive the highest quality of care.
• Keep track of fuel receipts and petty cash.
• Clean and monitor premises, and maintain a secure environment.
• Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
