Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, is seeking Full-time Flex Houseparents, a two-person on-campus role for married couples. You will supervise and mentor students, manage routines, transport and engage in activities, and lead devotions.

The position includes housing, meals, and comprehensive benefits, with a schedule of nine days on and three off, transitioning to a placed home with a single student group.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples married at least two years.
• Spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the home.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Comfort leading daily devotions and accompanying Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and engaging in developmental and recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
