Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA is seeking Flex Houseparents (couples) to reside in on-campus homes and support 8-13 students. You will supervise daily routines, provide mentorship, plan activities, and lead devotions while ensuring safety and wellness in a structured, family-like setting.

This two-person role requires married couples of at least two years, with both spouses aged 27+. The position includes free housing, meals on duty, healthcare benefits, and relocation/training support.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person couple role requires at least two years of marriage.
• Both spouses must be 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Campus is smoke-free and weapon-free; no alcohol while on duty.
• Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds only.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Comfort leading daily devotions and attending Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; staff serve as role models.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and oversee student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and engage in developmental and recreational activities.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
