Milton Hershey School (MHS) in Hershey, PA is seeking married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus student homes, providing care, guidance, and supervision for 8-13 students in a family-like setting to support academic, emotional, and social development.

The role requires two-person commitment for couples, with a nine-on/three-off schedule and potential transition to a placed houseparent living with the same student group.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two-person couple role required.
• Both spouses must be 27 or older.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student vans.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed.
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; staff serve as role models for students.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and ensure student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and engage in developmental and recreational activities.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
