Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA seeks married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. You will live on campus in student homes, provide care, guidance, supervision and support for a group of 8–13 students, helping them grow academically, emotionally and socially.

Responsibilities include supervising daily routines, administering medications, planning activities, leading devotions and attending chapel.

Qualifications

• Two-person couple must be legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses age 27 or older.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student vans.
• Experience working with youth.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty.
• Pet restrictions: fish and one dog of approved breeds.
• Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel (no proselytizing).

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and ensure student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and plan developmental/recreational events.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
