Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA seeks married couples to join as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus student homes, caring for a group of 8–13 students and fostering a structured, family‑like environment that supports academic, emotional, and social development.

Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students, managing routines, administering medications, driving to activities, leading devotions, and coordinating budgeting.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Couples must be legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children in the student home.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license; ability to become certified to drive student vans.
• Commitment to a smoke‑free and weapon‑free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Pet restrictions: fish and one dog of approved breeds.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship for students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and monitor student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and participate in development and recreation.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
