Arapahoe County is seeking an experienced Public Works Director to provide strategic leadership across Transportation, Engineering, and Operations. The role oversees a multi-divisional department with a multi-million-dollar operating budget and billion-dollar infrastructure system.

The successful candidate will guide departmental planning, engage with diverse stakeholders, and translate Board priorities into a clear long-term direction while ensuring service excellence and safety across county

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, public administration, business administration, construction management, or related field.
• At least 10 years of relevant and progressive experience with leadership in public works, infrastructure, transportation, engineering, development, or a comparable complex organization.
• At least 5 years of supervisory/management experience.
• PE license preferred.
