GGFOA is seeking an entry-level accountant to support the county’s financial operations. You will handle revenue processing, accounts payable/receivable, payroll review, and budget assistance, ensuring GAAP and GASB compliance.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field and 1–2 years of experience. Entry salary is posted, with benefits provided. Applications remain open until filled.

• Knowledge of applicable federal/state laws, ordinances and dept. policies.

Mansioni

• Receives and processes revenue from county departments and prepares bank deposits.
• Processes accounts receivable as assigned.
• Reviews and sorts payroll checks.
• Assists in the preparation of annual budget.
• Reviews accounts payable checks.
• Reconciles bank accounts as assigned.
• Reconciles special revenue funds, trust funds, and enterprise funds as assigned.
• Assists with annual audits.
• Prepares journal entries.
• Processes unclaimed funds for enterprise funds.
• Prepares a variety of financial reports.
• Processes trust draws as assigned.
• Performs related duties.
