NC State University in Windsor, NC is seeking a County Extension Director to lead the county Extension program in partnership with NC A&T State University. The role oversees administration, policy issues, and community development, with budgeting, staffing, and program marketing responsibilities.
The candidate will hold a Master’s degree (or a Bachelor’s with 10+ years of Extension experience) and must have strong leadership and supervisory skills, plus a valid driver’s license.

The County Extension Director is the leadership position responsible for coordinating and leading the county Extension staff to develop an effective total county Extension educational program in cooperation with North Carolina A&T State University’s Cooperative Extension Program. The role entails administration, public policy issues, community development, staffing, budgeting and program marketing, and serves as the administrative leader for the county Extension program.
Valid Driver’s License and reliable personal transportation required. Must be maintained within 60 days of hire.
8:30 am - 5:00 pm, evenings and weekends as required.
