Northumberland County Children & Youth is seeking a County Caseworker 2 to support children, youth, and families by providing essential social services, safety planning and case management. Qualificações

• Six months of experience as a County Caseworker 1 or equivalent
• Successful completion of the County Social Casework Intern program or related internship
• Educational requirements can be met within two months of graduation
• 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice or related social sciences plus relevant experience

Responsabilidades

• Provide guidance to children and families to support safety, permanence and well-being
• Maintain frequent contact with children, parents and foster parents to address concerns and support progress
• Conduct interviews, home visits and meetings to assess safety and family needs
• Prepare forms, maintain case records, and complete correspondence per agency standards
• Use the CAPS system to enter and review information accurately
• Respond to emergency calls after hours and investigate reports when assigned
• Walk, stand, climb stairs, drive, lift, carry, bend and kneel as required
• Handle unstable situations and interact with individuals with various challenges

Formação

Bachelor's degree in social welfare
