The Counter Warehouse performs excellent customer service by issuing parts based on requests from work orders, trouble calls, or customers arriving at the counter. Immediately and accurately document the movement of items within the system.
Shift: 2nd Shift, Monday - Friday (3:30 PM - 11:30 PM)
Position Responsibilities:
- Issue parts based on requests from work orders and cost center orders
- Respond to trouble calls or customers arriving at the counter
- Immediately document the movement of items into the system
- Follow procedures for special item issuance or IMEP restrictions
- Notify planners and management about PIAC status
- Notify planners and management when parts need to be placed in block status
- Document all part returns, credits, transfers, and erroneous transactions
- Pick orders as requested
- Perform bin balances of 10 or less and document the check
- Transport orders as requested
- Document discrepancies between bin balances and system count
- Perform daily inventory cycle counts in the main stockroom
- Perform bin maintenance and receipt put-away
- Keep the area clean and organized at all times
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) preferred
- Basic math and reading skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Problem-solving skills
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work with internal and external customers
