Job summary

Higginbotham Brothers, a long‑standing Texas retailer, is seeking a Counter Sales Representative in Sweetwater to assist customers and contractors with the sales process. You will take orders over the counter, answer questions, and receive payment for customer orders in a retail setting.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, processing sales, providing product guidance, aiding with deliveries and installations coordination, and maintaining accurate records and showroom appearance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 years of building material knowledge and sales experience preferred.
• Commitment to providing excellent customer service and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet and interact with customers, assisting with merchandise location, pricing, and promotions.
• Process sales at the register and handle payments via cash, card, or other approved methods.
• Provide product recommendations and respond to inquiries about orders, pricing, and delivery/installation scheduling.
• Assist with showroom maintenance, stock levels, and inventory tasks.
• Prepare invoices and sales tickets, and enter data into the computer system.
• Maintain overall showroom appearance and safety, and support yard/warehouse operations as needed.
