Job summary

Higginbotham Brothers in Texas seeks a friendly Counter Sales Representative to help customers and contractors with orders over the counter, process payments, and provide product information in a retail setting. You will assist showroom customers, maintain showroom appearance, prepare invoices and tickets, and support yard/warehouse tasks as needed.

A high school diploma and 1–3 years of building material knowledge and sales experience are preferred; ability to read blueprints and use basic

1–3 years of building material knowledge and sales experience preferred.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to read blueprints.
Must be able to use a calculator and computers.
Knowledge of building materials and construction industry.

Responsibilities

Greet and assist customers; answer questions about merchandise, pricing, and deliveries.
Accept orders over the counter and process payments; issue receipts and refunds with approval.
Create invoices, work orders, and sales tickets; enter data into the computer system.
Assist with stock, showroom upkeep, and yard/warehouse tasks as needed.
Attend trainings and meetings to expand product knowledge.
