Position Overview

The Counter Sales Specialist will provide experienced sales and transaction support while maintaining customer service and independently handling customer accounts, product recommendations, order management, and problem resolution.

All Tile - CCS/Walcro in Brookfield, WI

Compensation

$18-$20/hr depending on experience

Work Schedule

Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:30pm

Essential Functions

Customer Service

• Greet and assist walk-in customers.
• Provide product information, recommendations, and solutions based on customer needs.
• Direct customers to appropriate products and displays.
• Answer incoming phone calls and respond to customer emails regarding products, pricing, and order information.
• Resolve customer concerns and troubleshoot escalated issues.

Sales

• Upsell and cross-sell products to maximize sales opportunities.
• Support sales representatives, customer care, and other departments as needed.
• Participate in vendor events and various product trainings/demos.
• Generate accurate quotes and process complex orders.
• Coordinate with warehouse and purchasing teams regarding inventory and special orders.
• Approve e-commerce orders and keep approvals within SLA metrics.

Order Hygiene

• Manage open orders on the portal.
• Follow up with customers regarding their orders and meet order hygiene standards and procedures.

Warehouse Operational Support

• Support with basic order fulfillment.
• Perform cycle counts and inventory audits as needed.
• Perform other warehouse tasks as needed.

Safety & Housekeeping

• Follow OSHA and company safety regulations.
• Use proper lifting techniques and material handling procedures.
• Maintain showroom displays, product samples, and merchandising standards.
• Carry out other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned or required.

Education

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Degree.

Work Experience

• 2-5 years of customer service, sales, and/or showroom experience.
• Experience working with Point of Sale systems (POS).
• Experience in the flooring and building materials industry is a plus.
• Experience working with WMS; Epicor P21 is a plus.

Physical Demand and Work Environment

• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math skills and reading comprehension skills.
• Ability to manage, reconcile and balance a cash drawer daily.
• Frequent bending, lifting, kneeling, and reaching.
• Ability to work at a computer for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds repeatedly and independently, and heavier items with assistance.
• Legally permitted to work in the United States.
