Job summary

Jgpete is seeking a Parts Counter Salesperson to provide exceptional service to retail customers, mechanics, and outside reps. You will identify, look up, and sell automotive components while building lasting customer relationships.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, processing invoices, assisting at the counter, and maintaining product knowledge. Prior parts counter experience is required, with strong communication and teamwork a must.

Qualifications

• Prior Parts Counter experience is required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• General mechanical aptitude with a solid familiarity of automotive/truck components. High computer proficiency.
• Experience with ADP/CDK Automotive DMS systems is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with prompt, courteous service.
• Invoice and sell parts, handle transactions, and follow dealership credit policies.
• Directly assist mechanics and outside sales representatives at the counter to ensure shop and field efficiency.
• Answer incoming phone calls, take accurate orders, and make proactive weekly sales and follow-up calls to customers.
• Maintain strong familiarity with inventory products, merchandising programs, and ordering systems.
• Pull parts orders for customers and safely operate a forklift when required.
• Learn about new products, attend scheduled training classes, and maintain up-to-date product knowledge.
• Perform additional supporting tasks, problem-solving duties, or related assignments as required by management
