Job summary

Cape Electrical Supply in the United States is seeking a Warehouse Associate to receive, store, pick, pack, and ship inventory. You will operate light warehouse equipment, unload deliveries, and maintain a clean, safe work area Monday through Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm.

Occasional delivery duties may be required; a high school diploma or GED is preferred. Starting pay is $16.00 per hour, depending on experience, with opportunities for growth as the company expands.

• Ability to lift and move inventory and operate light warehouse equipment.

Responsibilities

• Receive, store, and organize inventory in the warehouse.
• Unload deliveries and identify discrepancies in material.
• Pack and prepare customer orders for shipment.
• May perform delivery duties with a light van when needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow safety procedures.

Make a difference.Overview:Receive, store, select, pack, and distribute warehouse inventory.Work Shift and Hours:Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pmCompensation Details:The expected pay rate for this position is starting at $16.00 per hour depending on experience.Typical Functions:Perform any and all physical requirements necessary to lift and move inventory around the warehouse.Operate and maneuver warehouse equipment and any material(s) contained thereon in the manner consistent with the intended purpose of the equipment and the manufacturers’ instructions.Maintain the warehouse in an orderly and clean state; follow all Company safety procedures; perform daily safety inspections.Unload delivery vehicles, accurately identifying material, breaking down material, and noting discrepancies.Accurately store product to the proper location following the outlined process; the use of light equipment may be required.Select and pack customer orders following the outlined process; ensure conformance to customer standards and expectations.May perform Delivery Driver duties as needed; operate a light van or delivery vehicle to deliver customer orders; ensure that customers orders are delivered to meet customer expectations.Preferred Qualifications:High school diploma or GEDThis job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by individuals occupying this position of employment.
