Job summary

Cape Electrical Supply in Missouri is seeking a Warehouse Associate to transport materials and support warehouse duties. The role involves safely driving to customers, delivering on time, scanning receipts, and maintaining logs.

You will lift and move inventory and operate equipment while following safety procedures. The position offers a steady Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00am to 5:00pm, with pay starting around $17 per hour depending on experience.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Safely drive truck or van to transport materials within the specified area and verify loads against shipping papers; obtain signed receipts for material delivered.
• Scan each delivery into the system before leaving the warehouse; maintain truck log according to state and federal regulations.
• Determine best route for timely delivery; record delivery information; inspect truck equipment and report deficiencies to ensure safe operation.
• Perform physical requirements to lift and move inventory; load and unload trucks.
• Operate warehouse equipment following safety procedures; promote and maintain good customer relations.
• May perform Material Handler responsibilities when not engaged in primary duties.
• Take active role in communicating customer feedback to management, including complaints and requests.

Overview

Typical Functions

• Safely drive truck or van to transport materials within specified area; verify loads against shipping papers; obtain signed receipts for material delivered.
• Scan each delivery into system before leaving the warehouse; maintain truck log according to state and federal regulations.
• Determine best route for effective delivery of product that will satisfy customers' expectations of a timely delivery; record delivery information; inspect truck equipment and supplies as required, and immediately report any deficiencies to ensure safe operation.
• Perform any and all physical requirements necessary to lift and move inventory around the warehouse, as well as load and unload trucks.
• Operate and maneuver warehouse equipment and any material(s) contained thereon in the manner consistent with the intended purpose of the equipment and the manufacturers' instructions; follow all Company safety procedures.
• May perform Material Handler responsibilities when not engaged in primary responsibilities.
• Promote and maintain good customer relations; may promote new sales as opportunities arise.
• Take an active role in communicating customer feedback to Company management, including customer complaints, requests, returns, performance, competitive information, and potential opportunities.

The expected pay rate for this position is starting at $17.00 per hour depending on experience.

Additional Information

• Steel toed boots required.
• CDL not required, but must pass DOT medical exam.
