NORTHEASTER SUPPLY INC is seeking a Counter Sales Associate in Hyattsville, MD to drive sales and ensure customer satisfaction at the counter and over the phone. The role leverages product knowledge to assist with selections and fulfill orders.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED and may have prior product or wholesale distribution experience. The position requires lifting up to 75 lbs and standing for long periods, with outdoor/indoor work environments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Product, applications, or wholesale distribution experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and stand for up to 8 hours daily.
• Able to stoop, bend, and reach inventory; work in indoor and outdoor environments.

Responsibilities

• Order Fulfillment & Inventory: Pull, fill, pack, and set up orders for delivery or pickup; track order status at all times.
• Receive shipments, log into inventory, conduct audits, and process returns accurately.
• Customer Service: Assist counter and phone customers with orders, product info, pricing, and availability.
• Greet all customers professionally; resolve issues promptly or escalate as needed.
• Sales & Product Knowledge: Upsell complementary products and convert requests to stocked brands where appropriate.
