Qualifications

• 0–3 years of experience in customer service or sales.
• Experience in plumbing/HVAC or related industry preferred.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Engage customers at the counter, on the phone, and via email to understand needs.
• Serve as a product expert on plumbing and HVAC products to guide customer decisions.
• Drive sales growth by identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
• Utilize catalogs and systems to locate parts and provide accurate information.
• Process transactions accurately while delivering a positive customer experience.
• Collaborate with Outside Sales to support account growth and seamless service.
• Manage special orders, back-orders, and delivery timelines to maintain satisfaction.
• Maintain a professional, organized counter environment reflecting Ferguson's quality and service.
• Assist with inventory, cycle counts, and stock organization.
• Assist with occasional warehouse duties such as receiving, shipping and stocking.
• Adhere to safety regulations including PPE requirements.
