Job summary

PARR is seeking a Counter Salesperson in Indiana to greet customers and provide friendly sales assistance at the retail counter. You will stock shelves, process orders, and support delivery teams while maintaining a clean, organized store environment.

Responsibilities include handling calls, entering orders in ERP, and delivering excellent customer service. The role requires basic computer skills, English proficiency, and ability to lift and move materials as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Must be able to operate Point of Sale system, personal computer, smartphone, scanner, and any other equipment necessary for the job
• Must be able to type 30+ WPM
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Knowledge of retail sales principles, practices, and protocols
• Knowledge of dimension lumber and panel products and other building materials

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with sales and provide service at the counter
• Receive and stock inventory and merchandise store displays
• Assist outside crew by loading customer vehicles and preparing loads for delivery
• Handle phone calls, emails, and orders, and pass information to teammates
• Maintain a clean store and professional counter area
• Ensure accurate documentation and order processing in ERP/MIS systems
• Communicate delivery times and order status to customers
