Job summary

Etna Supply in Michigan is seeking a Counter Associate to deliver excellent customer service while processing, picking, and staging customer orders. You will support counter, warehouse, and yard operations in a safe, organized environment.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or equivalent and 1-2 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Pass operator safety training and substance abuse screening required.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of related experience and training; optional or
• An equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an excellent customer experience by meeting or exceeding customer expectations
• Assist counter customers by answering questions, identifying needs, and processing sales orders
• Pick, package, and stage customer orders accurately and efficiently, typically within one hour of order release
• Understand warehouse/yard layout, bin locations, and product inventory
• Verify orders, label materials, complete documentation, and stage orders in designated locations
• Handle materials carefully to prevent damage, shipping errors, and inventory discrepancies
• Operate material handling equipment safely and follow all safety procedures
• Support stocking, cleanliness, and organization of the counter, warehouse, and yard
• Build and maintain positive customer relationships and support product promotions
• Assist warehouse and other team members as needed
• Maintain regular, reliable attendance and work safely at all times

Education
