Job summary

Northeastern Supply, Inc. is seeking a Counter Sales Associate to drive sales and ensure customer satisfaction by helping walk-in and telephone customers with product selection and order fulfillment.

You will leverage product knowledge to recommend solutions and build lasting relationships. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, with preferred experience in product applications or wholesale distribution.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in product applications or wholesale distribution preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and stand for up to 8 hours.
• Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments.

Responsibilities

• Order Fulfillment & Inventory: pull, fill, pack, and set up orders for delivery or pickup; track order status.
• Receive shipments, log into inventory, conduct audits, and process returns accurately.
• Customer Service: assist counter and phone customers with orders, product info, pricing, and availability.
• Greet all customers professionally; resolve issues promptly or escalate as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized counter and product display area.
• Upsell complementary products and convert requests to stocked brands.
• Maintain deep product and industry knowledge; follow company pricing and credit guidelines.
• Follow all company procedures, policies, and Employee Handbook requirements.
